MATCH-WINNER LISANDRO MARTINEZ TALKS GOALS, CHARACTER AND COLLYER
LISANDRO MARTINEZ: “Yeah, I think I was lucky (with the deflection for the goal). I’m really happy with the way we won the game. It didn’t matter who scored, the most important thing is three points, how we fight, how we played, how we showed character and personality. I’m so happy because of this guy (points to Toby Collyer – a big example for the younger generation, working so hard every day and so humble.”
TOBY COLLYER: “It’s unbelievable, it’s praise coming from a World Cup winner (he said in reference to being singled out by Martinez). I couldn’t ask for it to come from anyone better. I’m working hard, it’s a tough environment, but it makes you better and develops your character. I’m just looking to improve every day.
COLLYER ON HIS SENSATIONAL GOAL-LINE CLEARANCE: “I remember wondering if it had gone over (the line), but luckily it hadn’t. I’m happy for the team and the win and the most important thing is that we did it as team together.”
