The OGC Nice Ultras had several messages to convey during the Nice-OM match, to be followed live with commentary on our site, as part of the 19th day of Ligue 1. First, the Populaire Sud deployed a provocative banner at the Allianz Riviera against OM: “The sun is setting over the city of Nice… let the Rat Hunt begin!!”before attacking Neal Maupay, trained with the Aiglons and author of three seasons in Nice between 2012 and 2015.

While the 28-year-old striker has been at OM since this summer, OGC Nice supporters have continued insulting words aimed at the Marseillais, in particular for the Marseille striker. “Neal Maupay’s mother is a big whore”“, sang the Ultras de la Populaire Sud, before unfurling a banner in the second half: “Maupay, you went from a club kid to a son of a bitch”. As a reminder, Mr. Wattellier made the decision to briefly interrupt the meeting to ask to stop homophobic and sexist chants.
