He Barcelona paid emotional tribute to the victims of the DANA in his match against Valencia. Just before starting the meeting, a castle exhibition took place by the Valencian Community Folklore Federation, represented by the Associations: Repicó de Manises dance and fable group and La Senyera dance group from Valencia, and the Barcelona group Arreplegats de la University Zone. The latter raised three pillars, of which one of them displayed the Señera of the Valencian Community.
While the group of human towers made their display, next door, a dance group danced traditional Valencian dance. In this way, the Barcelona shows its particular tribute to the most affected peoples of the DANA, who are still recovering from the catastrophe that left many dead.
Furthermore, the Barcelona will donate 90,000 euros to those affected by DANA of Valencia, after holding an auction of shirts among their fans. Almost three months after the tragedy, the club has announced that the fundraising will be used to rehabilitate sports spaces in Paiporta, Catarroja and Benetúser. The Catalan club will open a second bid after this match against Valencia in Montjuic.
In addition, it was planned that during the match a message would be broadcast on both the television broadcast and the stadium’s video scoreboards offering the possibility of making a donation through bizum 10758 or through a QR code that will appear on the video scoreboards.
