Flick reveals the reason for starting Szczesny against Valencia

Hi Koura – Barcelona coach Hansi Flick revealed the reason behind his choice to start the Polish goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny, in the match against Valencia, despite the catastrophic mistakes he made in the last Champions League match against Benfica.

Flick said: “We made the decision to start with Szczesny in the match, and one of the main reasons is that we have not lost any match with him so far.”

Regarding Pedri’s absence from the match, Flick added: “Pedri had no choice to participate today, so I decided for him to stay at home and recover fully.”
