Paris best attack, Cholet best defense
If in the standings the two teams are close, this is also the case in the game. Cholet is the team that plays the most possessions per game, with a PACE of 74.9. Not so far, Paris is fifth (74.2) while also being second at this level in the EuroLeague (73). Offensively, however, Tiago Splitter's players are the most effective (126.7 offensive rating), Cholet only occupying seventh place (116). It must be said that like last season, Paris often manages to obtain several chances in attack, being the leaders in offensive rebounds (38.4% of offensive rebounds captured). Fabrice Lefrançois' players, however, dominate the ranking in defense (106.8 defensive rating) while Paris is only ninth (113.3).
But what stands out when watching the two teams is the intensity they display on the floor. Ouest-France rightly notes that these two teams are the only ones in Betclic ELITE to have no player playing more than 25 minutes on average. Paris plans its changes in advance while Cholet acts more spontaneously. But the observation is the same: the rotations follow one another and the players arrive fresh and ready to do battle on the field.
However, Fabrice Lefrançois notes differences in the approach to these numerous changes:
