The new storm named Floris will touch France on Sunday, January 26.
The Eowyn storm is touching the United Kingdom with full whip since the night of Thursday 23 to Friday, January 24. Gusts greater than 180 km/h have been recorded, especially in Ireland, according to Météo France.
In France, during the night from Thursday to Friday, gusts of more than 100 km/h blowed near the Côtes de Manche. Many departments in the northwest are placed in a vigilance yellow wind. Météo France has also placed Morbihan on orange rain-innon alert.
But between Eowyn and his successor, Floris, the respite should be short -lived. Since according to the Met Office, the national meteorological and climatic service of the United Kingdom, a new disturbance is expected on Sunday, January 26, with winding and heavy rains in places.
The agency has already placed on yellow alert several regions of the south of England, including those by the round.
-“It is almost sure that it will be a storm,” news told the meteorologist Guillaume Séchet. The gusts could reach 150 km/h in the west of France as well as in the mountainous reliefs of the Pyrenees, the Massif Central and the Alps, he said.
“Winds between 110 and 120 km/h will hit the Breton coasts and the Nantes region,” Messeorologist at Weather & Co. told Ouest-France.
The wind will blow less strong in the land, possibly between 90 and 120 km/h. Raws are also expected on Friday. The forecasts remain to be confirmed in the coming hours by Météo France.
