The incident occurred in the tourist area of ​​Monti, by attackers who wore black clothes with their faces hidden, and used smoke bombs, huge explosives, and bladed weapons, while the Corriere della Sera newspaper confirmed that the Spanish fans were at the same time pelted with chairs and tables, before the police later intervened, where they were seized. A group of weapons used (knives, iron bars and hammers), and a number of assailants were arrested, following testimonies from residents, while continuing investigations and reviewing existing cameras.
