Major fire in Kaiseraugst – Radio Basilisk

There is a fire on Bahnhofstrasse in Kaiseraugst. The fire department responded. Emergency services from the Basel area were also called in to provide support, according to the Aargau cantonal police at Basilisk’s request. Police and rescue workers are also on site. Further information about the cause of the fire is currently unknown. According to initial findings, the fire broke out in the Thommen company’s recycling park.

The fire leads to heavy smoke. It is therefore strongly recommended to close windows and doors in Kaiseraugst and Rheinfelden. In addition, ventilation and air conditioning should be switched off, according to the “Alertswiss app”.
