The match between Feyenoord and Bayern Munich came to a standstill after half a minute. Fireworks in the stands of De Kuip caused too much smoke, which made leader François Letexier decide to stop the match.

Commentator Vincent Schildkamp from Ziggo also saw that what was happening was not pleasant. The players had to wait in the icy cold for about six minutes. He indicated: “UEFA will not appreciate this delay. It will undoubtedly cost Feyenoord money.”

The reactions to X were also not pleasant. Supporters did not appreciate the amount of smoke and made this clear on the medium. Below is a selection of the responses.
