Paris: gaming clubs close to reopening… and sustainability?
They all made the same wish to start the year: to be able to “reopen as quickly as possible”. Since January 1, the capital’s seven gaming clubs have been forced to temporarily lower their curtains. A forced closure which leaves thousands of players hungry. But it is above all the approximately 1,500 occasional or permanent employees in the sector who find themselves plunged into uncertainty.
The State has activated partial unemployment for those who meet the conditions. A request was made “for 886 employees”, according to figures from the Ministry of the Interior. There remains one question that torments the world of Parisian green carpets: when will these clubs be able to take their chips out of the drawers again?
