Press magazine: “Perfect storm”, “bathed” and “surreal” – Current Affairs

Benfica’s defeat to Barcelona on Tuesday night, in a truly epic encounter, makes this Wednesday’s three daily sports newspapers of the national written press full on the front page.

The newspaper A BOLA speaks of a “surreal” game in which a “hat-trick from Pavlidis was not enough for Benfica to hold on to what they had in their hands”.

“Banhada”, headlines the newspaper Record, with Benfica going “from heaven to hell” in a match in which the “eagles won 4-2 in the 77th minute”.

Finally, the newspaper O JOGO highlights an “imperfect storm”, explaining that “Benfica started better but gave in to pressure from the Catalans, who celebrated in the final moments thanks to Raphinha”.
