Madison Keys advances to Australian Open semifinals

Celebrating her tenth consecutive success of the year after her title in Adelaide, Madison Keys (14th in the world) qualified for her third semi-final in Melbourne (2015, 2022), ten years after the first. Elina Svitolina found the key in the first set, clinical on serve and regular from the baseline (four unforced errors). But more is needed to derail the American and her impressive ease in distributing fluid attacks out of reach of her opponent. With 49 winning shots, compared to 20 for the Ukrainian, Keys, finalist at the US Open in 2017, was able to achieve her victory.
