Peter Bosz has announced PSV’s line-up for the crucial Champions League match against Red Star Belgrade. The most notable absentee among the Eindhoven team is Ismael Saibari, probably because he is ill. At right back, Richard Ledezma is preferred to Rick Karsdorp. The match at the Rajko Mitic Stadium starts at 9:00 PM and can be seen live on Ziggo Sports 1.
Walter Benítez will try to keep his goal clean for the first time this year. The Argentinian goalie faces a four-man defense, consisting of Ledezma, Ryan Flamingo, Olivier Boscagli and Mauro Júnior.
Joey Veerman and Jerdy Schouten are the controllers in midfield. Saibari is missing from both the starting eleven and the selection. According to Jeroen Kapteijns from The Telegraph he is ill. Guus Til starts in his place.
Luuk de Jong is preferred to Ricardo Pepi at striker. The former Dutch international is flanked by Johan Bakayoko (right) and Noa Lang (left).
In addition to Saibari, Bosz cannot rely on Sergiño Dest, Adamo Nagalo, Malik Tillman, Ivan Perisic, Esmir Bajraktrevic and Matteo Dams in Serbia. Isaac Babadi and Couhaib Driouech return to the selection. In addition, Bosz has brought two talents from Jong PSV: Tai Abed and Wessel Kuhn.
