More than 15 years ago, Isabelle Ithurburu participated in the talent show The New Star on M6. If she validated the first stages, she did not go beyond the first direct stage.

A whirlwind stint at Nouvelle Star in 2007 for Isabelle Ithurburu

Guest of the show C Media on 5 in October 2023, Isabelle Ithurburu returned to her time on the talent show The New Star in 2007.

The presenter and journalist successfully passed the auditions and even made it to the first bonus at Pavillon Baltard. She performed the song there Butterfly of the Superbus group. But at that moment, his performance was not unanimous: Manu Katché had been the only one to give it a blue rating. The other three members of the jury, Dove Attia, Marianne James and André Manoukian, had chosen to give it a red.

This performance is no longer visible today because there is no archive: “That’s my great chance,” said the main person involved.

She explains her result by a lack of motivation: “I never wanted to do that! It's terrible. It was really my friends who signed me up. I sang as a backing vocalist in the prom group from my brother, so really, I didn't have any ambition! We did village dances, it was just a hobby and it showed! at all the shoulders and the talent”.

Chosen to co-present the 50th anniversary evening of TF1

After spending almost her entire career within the Canal+ group, the one who participated in the same season of The New Star that Julien Doré joined TF1 at the start of the 2023 school year. However, it was she who was chosen by the managers to co-present, with Gilles Bouleau, the big anniversary evening of the channel's 50th anniversary broadcast on Tuesday January 21, 2025 .

She confided her astonishment at this choice to Tele-Leisure : “I was very happy and very surprised. I would perhaps have been more impressed to be with another pillar of the chain, there are many, but the fact that it was Gilles, I said to myself that It was going to be fresh, smooth and easy. But I said 'Are you sure that the youngest arrival was legitimate to present this?“.

Obviously, the production of the show thinks so.
