This bridge is the start of a new story. The Auberive festival committee is behind the project “Your benches are taking a break”. The goal is to develop the attractiveness of the municipality with the creation of four hiking trails on each of them, wooden benches created especially for the project with a particularity: QR codes which ask philosophical questions.
Winner of the Inspired Ideas competition
A twenty benches still need to be built; everything is made in Auberive in Haute-Marne in Patrice's workshop. To publicize this project, the committee participated in the Inspired Ideas competition of Haute-Marne, which came in first place in the territory’s attractiveness category. They obtained a prize of 1,500 euros and a favorite bonus of 1,000 euros from the Departmental Council. The benches are expected to be installed on the hiking trails in spring 2025 before opening to the public.
