SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Todays cold front dropped a quick line of rain on the Suncoast. The front is heading south and south toward the Atlantic Ocean. Now that the Suncoast is behind the front, the temperatures are going to plummet as we move into the morning.
The overnight low will dip to around 46 degrees with feels-like temperatures dropping to 41, making it a First Alert Weather Day. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy, but relatively dry with highs only reaching the upper 50s.
Tuesday morning will feel colder with lows around 40 degrees and a feels-like temperature in the mid 30s. Another system is moving through the Suncoast on Tuesday and early Wednesday morning. This will bring more rain and reinforce cold temperatures. Due to the additional rain and colder temperatures, both Tuesday and Wednesday are First Alert Weather Days. Rainfall totals between Sunday and Wednesday may reach an inch-and-a-half in some areas.
