January 19, 2022 will remain engraved in the memory of Gaëlle Pietri. That day, the former model lost the father of her son, Orso, aged six at the time of the incident. The actor Gaspard Ulliel, then aged 37, succumbed to his injuries following a skiing accident in Savoie in the La Rosière resort. An immense tragedy for the one who shared her life for seven years. One year after this terrible tragedy, Gaëlle Pietri will release the book Time to say goodbyepublished by Grasset editions. In this work, she looks back on her mourning, but also on the legacy left to her by the man she loved so much.

But on each anniversary of the death of Gaspard Ulliel, Gaëlle Pietri can only pay tribute to him. Thus, in an Instagram story, on Saturday January 18, 2025, Orso's mother revealed a moving publication in which she published three candle emoticons. She also writes this heartbreaking sentence: “3 years without a dad for my son”. In the background, the moving music of Max Richter, called The Departure, The Departure in French. Concerned about the general condition of her son Orso, this mother, very close to her child, was nevertheless able to notice an improvement. “Orso is doing much better. The first year was extremely complicated, he was very angry. He had to spend all these first times without his father: Christmas, his birthday, the start of the school year… (…) Orso asks me regularly what would happen if something happened to me I refuse to tell him that I will always be there I don't want to lie to him, and even more so since the tragedy.she explained in May 2023 for our colleagues in Parisian.
