Pedri has been in brilliant form this season for Barcelona and was at it again on Saturday to set up the opening goal against Getafe.
The midfielder produced a simply wonderful pass to tee up none other than Jules Kounde to make it 1-0 after just nine minutes.
Pique promptly took to social media to share his thoughts. He wrote on X: “Pedri is a scandal.”
Barca manager Hansi Flick spoke about Pedri before the match and how happy he was to see the youngster playing regularly and at such a high level.
“He has played a lot of games and we have to be careful,” he told reporters.
-“It’s good to have him on the field because he’s a great player, but for his physique, it’s also good for him to start playing. We have changed his playing philosophy. He’s incredible and for us. He’s very important.”
Pedri now has four goals and three assists for Barcelona in La Liga and is one of the first names in Flick’s team sheet.
