Chloe Kim will compete for the first time in 2025 at the Laax Open from Friday 17 January.
The World Cup event in Switzerland is a happy hunting ground for the 24-year-old U.S. snowboard star**,** who won the title in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
Kim, who won a second-consecutive halfpipe Olympic gold medal at Beijing 2022, is looking for her first World Cup win this season, having finished fourth at Copper Mountain, USA, in December.
She will have to be at her best in the Swiss Alps, however, with Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games champion Ono Mitsuki of Japan**,** Spanish veteran Queralt Castelletand two-time World Champs medallist Maddie Mastro of Team USA all set to be in the mix.
