Be careful this Saturday evening in the Alpes-Maritimes. Météo France has placed the Alpes-Maritimes on violent wind yellow alert.
The alert should continue overnight and even until tomorrow morning according to initial forecasts.
Corsica on orange alert
The Gabri depression will hit the Isle of Beauty this Saturday, January 18. There Corse-du-Sud is placed on rain-flood alert from 8 p.m.while Haute-Corse will be affected from 10 p.m.
Meteorological authorities specify that this deterioration will be particularly marked during the day on Sunday, before starting to move away at the end of the day. Residents must therefore prepare for difficult traffic conditions, particularly due to the risk of flooding and torrents, while remaining vigilant in the face of potential storms on the coast of Southern Corsica.
