The emotion was at its peak this Friday, January 17 on France 3. For this new issue of The Secret BoxStéphane Bern burst into tears, seeing images of his brother Armand, who died in August 2022.
The year 2022 is a dark year for Stéphane Bern. The TV presenter and specialist in crowned heads announced at the beginning of the year the death of his father at the age of 91. “He was the best father, both proud of his sons and worried about us, a good mana cultivated and curious mind about everything, elegance personified and endowed with a teasing, mocking humor. He joined our dear mother, thirty years after her, having devoted an unwavering and inconsolable love to her.”wrote Stéphane Bern on Instagram, February 23, 2022, to pay tribute to him. A few months later, on August 6 to be precise, it was his brother Armand who tragically lost his life. An insurmountable drama for the companion of Yori Bailleres.
“Armand, my dear brother. We swore to each other that we would remain united for life and death separated us on August 6. You left too early, one month before your 60th birthday, after having courageously fought against melanoma which eventually won.”wrote the presenter of Secret d’histoire on Instagram. A few months after the death of his brother, Stéphane Bern explained to Tele-Leisure that these tragic losses had only reinforced his desire to “enjoy life”.

-“We really wanted him to be there in one way or another.”confided Maxime Chattam’s wife, to console the journalist. The latter continued, evoking the many qualities of his late brother. “I did everything worse than him, but he was kind enough to make me believe that it didn’t matter. He said to me: ‘I leave you the light, I am in the shadows’“, he remembered. One thing is certain, Stéphane Bern will never forget his brother.
