In the absence of Maya Lauqué, this Saturday January 18, it is Lucie Chaumette who will present Telematin on 2. It was on this show that her marriage was announced last June. But who really is this journalist?

But when will Maya Lauqué return to the helm of Telematin on France 2? “Hello Maya, we miss you 'Telematin' even if Lucie Chaumette assures us, it's not the same without you”a fan wrote to him on X (formerly Twitter) this Friday, January 17. “Oh thank you, that’s nice. I had the flu and I'm going on a few vacations”replied the 45-year-old journalist, before specifying that she would be back at 1 p.m. on France 2 on January 27. In the meantime, in the morning it was Lucie Chaumette who took the helm. She particularly made an impression because her marriage was announced live last June in the morning show. “We have a young bride on this plateau”had launched Adrien Rohard. She said “oui” to journalist Pierre Le Baud. During this show, Lucie Chaumette replaced Marie Portolano, at the time on maternity leave.

Lucie Chaumette is no longer unknown because she already has more than ten years of career. When she replaced journalist Johanna Ghiglia at the presentation of the news flash in February 2023, Tele-Leisure had immersed himself in his journey. The young woman born on January 13, 1990 in , in the North, arrived on France Info in 2016. Two years later, viewers will begin to see her at the helm of news segments. “I wanted to do like my parents, that is to say become a teacher. It was from high school that I wanted to be a journalist”she confided in an interview with The Voice of the North in 2022.

“I thought a journalist was someone who traveled the world. I thought 'that's great', but in reality that's not at all what I do. There are a lot of things great things to do when you're a journalist, and I'm very happy to be one!”the television woman explained in the local newspaper. “After high school, I attended the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) in , then , for three years, where we studied political science, economics, languages… In the third year, I was went to Chile for a year.she said. But after her trip, she didn't stop there and resumed studying journalism. “On my return, I took the competitive exam for the École supérieure de journalism (ESJ) in Lille, where I did a two-year master’s degree. So I have a double degree in political science and journalism”she concluded. A background that allowed her to start at iTELE and Euronews before joining the public service where she still shines today.
