Feyenoord knows which opponents it can face in the next round of the TOTO KNVB Cup. The Rotterdam team has qualified for the quarter-finals of the cup tournament by beating Rijnsburgse Boys 1-4. This victory ensured that Feyenoord was included in the draw on Friday afternoon.
The last two matches in the eighth finals were played on Thursday evening. Heracles Almelo won 0-2 against De Graafschap. Later in the evening, SC Heerenveen suffered a painful defeat against Quick Boys. The team of former Feyenoord player Robin van Persie fell behind twice. Partly due to a striking substitute from Andries Noppert, they lost 2-3 in extra time.
AZ, Noordwijk, PSV, Go Ahead Eagles and FC Utrecht are the other teams that have qualified for the quarter-finals. Feyenoord will play together with the other seven remaining teams on February 4, 5 or 6, when the quarter-finals are scheduled. The four winners of this round will then compete in the semi-finals on February 25, 26 or 27. The final will take place on April 21.
