The Ti Clémentine creperie has just been taken over by Ivan and Vassily Makarenko, 28-year-old twin brothers. They offer crepes and pancakes prepared by Ivan. A professional project which allowed the brothers to find each other after having lost sight of each other for ten years.

Ivan and Vassily, as the first name indicates, have Russian origins: “but we are French,” smiles Ivan. The latter has been working in the restaurant business for 18 years. He arrived in ten years ago. As for his brother, after ten years of public service, he had had enough: “I really wanted to work with my brother. We lost touch at the age of 18, each of us leaving to live our lives and, thanks to this project, we found each other again.”

“Our products are fresh and local”

They chose Concarneau to settle in because they appreciate the peaceful, friendly and human side of the city. But it's not just that. “We found a photo of us when we were teenagers. We were photographed in front of the bronze cormorant statue which is right in front of Ti Clémentine. It’s a sign,” they recall.

Vassily trained as a crepe maker at Bertrand Larcher's school and then trained his brother in the art of crepe making. The menu offers a wide choice of traditional, complete and special pancakes, including a Norwegian with smoked trout, a Forestière and the famous Bretonne with homemade sardine rillettes. “The flour comes from the Moulin de l’Écluse in Pont-Aven. Our products are fresh and local.” When it comes to wheat pancakes, let yourself be tempted by the tatin, the bride with bitter orange marmalade and chocolate sauce or by artisanal ice creams.
