TSG Hoffenheim suffered a defeat at FC Bayern on Wednesday evening. Afterwards, Andrej Kramaric burst his collar in an interview.

After Munich’s 5-0 defeat, Andrej Kramaric didn’t feel like talking about the game at all. Because for the Croatian it was “absolutely clear that this was happening”. The appearance at the record champions was “just a reflection of this season,” as Kramaric said at the microphone ESPN called.
If I say all the things that are in my head, I will probably get the biggest penalty in the history of the Bundesliga.
The veteran was visibly annoyed and got his frustration off his chest. “I’m honest and even soft, because if I say all the things that are in my head, I will probably get the biggest punishment in the history of the Bundesliga.” A hearty statement from the attacker, who has been at the club for nine years and has experienced everything during this time.
On Wednesday evening Kramaric burst his collar, but he even held back, as he said himself. The 33-year-old is concerned about the current situation in the club. “It’s the first time in my career that I feel like this. If no one changes it, I want to try it. If I start talking, everyone will listen.”
Kramaric talked about a specific point in time, but he didn’t name it exactly. “Nothing has worked since something changed in the club.” It is possible that he meant the separation from sports director Alexander Rosen. At the end of July, the management level was reorganized, and Rosen had to leave during the summer training camp. The squad was then formed late and uncoordinated. “We invested so much money for nothing,” Kramaric continued.
Rosen’s successor Andreas Schicker was introduced in October; he came from Sturm Graz. In mid-November, TSG parted ways with coach Pellegrino Matarazzo and Schicker installed his well-known staff from Graz around coach Christian Ilzer. The Austrian has only won once since then, in his first game against Leipzig. Since then: nine games, six defeats.
“There is a risk that we will be relegated”
After the first half of the season, TSG is in a worrying 16th place. “There is a risk that we will be relegated. With a good team, with good players,” said Kramaric, who is still very unfamiliar with TSG’s new style of play. Since the system was changed to a back four, the attacker, who was actually so strong, no longer plays a role.
His public criticism revealed the deep frustration that currently exists at TSG. And Kramaric warned: “In the future I may be tougher.”
