A few hours before the draw for TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship – Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda 2024 scheduled for this evening in Nairobi, CAF revealed a new logo as well as a new trophy for the competition.
This visual renewal gives the tournament a modern identity, while highlighting its deep links with football and culture in Africa.
The CHAN 2024 trophy features an elegant and contemporary design, combining gold and silver elements, symbolizing the prestige and growing importance of this tournament.
A significant detail of this trophy is the 54 distinct lines that surround it, representing the 54 united African nations, with a map of the continent placed at its heart.
This element highlights the celebration of the diversity and unity of the continent through this championship. Each line embodies the foundations of African football: a path traced by passion and talent, a tribute to the players and their aspirations.
The new trophy thus stands as a powerful symbol of the constant progress of African football and the shared passion for this sport.
The CHAN CAF TotalEnergies 2024, to be held in August 2025, will mark the eighth edition of the competition and will be the first organized in East Africa since the 2016 edition was held in Rwanda.
The draw, scheduled for this Wednesday, January 15, will take place at the prestigious Kenyatta International Conference Center (“KICC”) in Nairobi, Kenya, and will begin at 8:00 p.m. local time (5:00 p.m. GMT / 7:00 p.m. Cairo time).
