The General Administration of Prisons said that, as of today, Wednesday, 79 cases of measles (Bou Hamroun) (including 7 juveniles, two women, and a child attached to his mother) have been recorded, 27 of which recovered after undergoing the applicable treatment protocol.

About 25 cases were recorded in the Tangier 2 local prison, 6 cases in the Ain El Borja local prison, then 5 in the Mohammediou prison and 3 in Arjat 1.

The delegation explained in its statement that two infections were recorded in each of the central prison in Kenitra, the local prison of Bourkaiz in Fez, the local prison in Benslimane, and the local prison in Souk Arbaa, and one infection in each of the local prisons of Bouarfa, Kelaa Sraghna, Tetouan, Berkane and Tan-Tan.

On the other hand, seven employees, including a female doctor, were infected and subject to the aforementioned health protocol.

As part of the efforts made by the General Delegation, in partnership with the Guardian Ministry, to prevent the spread of this disease in prison institutions, 11,620 male and female inmates and 332 male and female employees benefited from vaccination on a voluntary basis and under the supervision of the frameworks affiliated with the regional delegations for the health and social protection sector.
