No “suspension” of the pension reform but a three-month renegotiation…

Rather than a suspension of the reform there will be a renegotiation for around three months, i.e. before a new change in age group for retirement, said François Bayrou during a meeting Wednesday morning in Matignon, according to several participants.

“The deadline for obtaining a change (of age group) was September, so the social partners must have completed their work before”, i.e. “before the summer” to make their conclusions “effective”, and in this case “the suspension is no longer necessary”, detailed one of the participants.

The Prime Minister brought together several representatives of parliamentary groups supporting his government on Wednesday morning in Matignon.
