The Liège public prosecutor’s office has arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder after he ran over a pedestrian on Saturday, then committed a hit-and-run accident and then returned to run over the victim again.
The suspect, born in 1995, hit a man with his van on Saturday, causing him to be thrown onto a public road. The driver initially committed a hit-and-run accident, but returned to hit the victim again. Then he really fled. According to the public prosecutor’s office, several people witnessed this.
The victim had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries and underwent surgery. It is not clear how he is doing now.
The arrested driver has confessed to the facts and an accomplice has also been identified.
