The widow of Johnny Hallyday revealed this Thursday, January 9, that she had lost her house in Pacific Palisades in the fires that have been ravaging Los Angeles for several days.

Laeticia Hallyday shared this Saturday, January 11 on Instagram new images of her house in Pacific Palisades destroyed by the fires that have ravaged Los Angeles since January 7.

“There is nothing left… only ashes where our laughter, our memories, our history lived. I feel like I have lost a part of my soul, as if a part of me had flown away with it. the flames,” she said.

Johnny Hallyday’s widow also wanted to thank the many Internet users who have sent her messages of support since the start of the fires. “Yet in this abyss there remains one thing that nothing can ever burn, the immense love that I receive every day,” she said.

“Your messages, your prayers, your gestures touch me deeply. You are my strength, my hope, my reason to believe in tomorrow. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she concluded.

Many personalities affected

Numerous fires have raged in Los Angeles since January 7. According to initial reports, at least eleven people died in these violent fires and entire sections of the second largest city in the United States were devastated: more than 10,000 buildings were destroyed and more than 14,000 hectares went up in smoke. .

Several personalities living in the neighborhoods affected by these fires, like Mark Hamill or Hilton, were forced to evacuate their homes devastated by the flames.

On Instagram, another French personality, Patrick Bruel, also confided that he lost his home in Pacific Palisades – where his sons Léon and Oscar lived – in these fires.

“The only assurance to which we cannot subscribe is that of the emotion, of the memories, of the objects, of the perfumes… and of the silences which surrounded this house which goes up in smoke,” he declared.

And added: “it’s very hard to see the roots disappear that we have so much difficulty building. It was a beautiful anchor, another refuge. This evening I am inevitably thinking of the victims, of my friends, of my neighbors, and to all those who lost everything in this disaster as in so many others in recent years.”
