[J15] At the end of a soporific meeting, the Girondins win against the red lantern

We hear it every day: there is no easy match in National 2. If it is also true in the other divisions, this first half will have proven that even if Granville is last in group B, all the teams are close.

We saw very few chances, especially from Granville, and wasted in the last pass, the last gesture, and if we want to be a little meaner, in the last intention. Okay, let’s stop beating around the bush… We were pissed off, actually.

Returning from the locker room, no change from Bruno Irles.

Actions of the second half

  • The North Gate light up smoke bombs for this first official trip of the season…
  • 51st: Andy Carroll receives a rather incomprehensible yellow card. A Granville player fell to the ground, while he was in the path of the England international, who however did not move…
  • We’re seriously pissed off.
  • At the hour mark, it’s abysmal, and it’s even Granville who manages to hit the goal, and Bordeaux, with its two wingers for whom one wonders if they are really footballers, cannot manage to cross 30 meters.
  • 68th, Issam Ben Khemis and Soufiane Bahassa return in place of Emeric Depussay and Amadou Diallo.
  • 70th: Andy Carroll deflects for Travis Mutyaba two meters from the goal, but it is repelled by the goalkeeper…
  • 71st: Header from Adrien Louveau from a corner, but it’s too weak.
  • 72nd: chest control at the entrance to the area from Andy Carroll, strike from the left in a pivot: but it is well captured by the Granville goalkeeper.
  • For the last ten minutes, Bordeaux tried to “let the horses go”, but once again, it was technically wrong… The referee also chose to whistle in a fairly random manner.
  • 84th: a counter in the Granville area heads towards the goal… It’s the bar!
  • 85th: on the following corner, Andy Carroll controls his chest in the area and hits in a crushed manner! It’s in! The England international delivers his own! (0-1)
  • 89th: tackle by Jean Grillot in the area… The Granville striker plays the shot well and the referee whistles… Penalty…
  • 90+2: Granville equalizes (1-1) while the attacker marks a timeout…
  • 90+4: Nassim Ranem, who entered a few seconds earlier, and after a first deflection from Adrien Louveau from a corner, offers victory to the Girondins! (1-2)

In the end, the Girondins de Bordeaux took the three points, facing the bottom of the championship. It wasn’t pretty, and it wasn’t until the last ten minutes that Bordeaux really got on top of their opponent.
