Some of the Charlie Hebdo were snatched in front of a restaurant in Grenoble on the night of Thursday January 9 to Friday January 10, learned “ici Isère” from the Grenoble public prosecutor’s office. An investigation into theft and damage committed due to religion has been opened.

The owner of the restaurant “Ici Grenoble” had hung front pages of the satirical newspaper inside and on the facade of his establishment to pay tribute to the victims of the 2015 attacks and to the “Charlie spirit”. Those displayed in front of the restaurant were torn down.

The perpetrator(s) face six years of imprisonment and a fine of 45,000 euros.
