The opening game of 2025 will not kick off at 8:30 p.m. as planned. The kick-off of the game between Borussia Dortmund has been pushed back a quarter of an hour. BVB officially announced this shortly before the game.
“Due to the high volume of traffic, the kick-off of the BVB vs. B04 game will be postponed to 8:45 p.m.,” said a short message from Borussia Dortmund on “X”.

“Please note that a parallel event begins on Friday evening at 8 p.m. in the Westfalenhalle and heavy arrival and departure traffic is expected around SIGNAL IDUNA PARK and Westfalenhalle,” it said on the BVB homepage.

The 40th ADAC Supercross, an indoor motocross event, will take place in the Westfalenhalle this weekend. The start was at 8 p.m., half an hour before the scheduled kick-off at Signal Iduna Park. In addition, due to construction work, only one tunnel tube of the B1 tunnel in Ardeystrasse is open. Dortmund also warned early about traffic jams.
