Costa Del Sol Sets New Tourism Record. 2024 has been the most successful year ever for tourism on the Costa Del Sol.

Costa Del Sol Sets New Tourism Record

Figures released today show that 2024 has been a record breaking year for tourism on the Costa Del Sol.  14.47 million tourists visited the region last year, almost half a million more people than in 2023.  This is the highest number of tourists ever recorded here.  Tourism generated €21.2 billion for the local economy, a ten percent increase on the previous year.

Tourism continues to create employment and new job opportunities on the Costa Del Sol, with 137,400 people working in the sector.  Hotel profitability has also increased by 6% on the previous year. The President of Turismo Costa del Sol,  Francisco Salado, is encoured by the figures saying “Malaga province has once again shown it is the main tourist destination in Andalucía and one of the main destinations in Spain and Europe”.
