The budget project is relaunched this Monday morning. Representatives of Modem and the PS are received in Bercy during the day with a resumption of consultations. A stated objective in terms of taxes: no tax increases for the middle class.
As consultations around the next budget begin this Monday, there will be “no more taxes for households” promises the new budget minister. Amélie de Montchalin will receive with Eric Lombard the Minister of the Economy this Monday the parliamentary groups to find compromises on the new budget.
It sets the framework for the discussion: measures to achieve around 5% deficit by making savings. Amélie de Montchalin assures that she has no “red lines” but “strong convictions”. She still hopes to achieve a majority on the budget despite the persistent threat of a government overthrow. A socialist received just now at Bercy warns: “If we get trifles, we do not rule out censorship.”
