Be careful at the start of the first weekend of 2025. Météo France has just placed 51 departments on yellow alert for the risk of snow, ice and wind for the day of Saturday January 4.
With, in particular, around forty (41 to be precise) in snow and ice vigilance. This is a little more than for the day of Friday January 3. Here is today's forecast.

Today's forecast
In terms of forecasts, Météo France predicts that Saturday will be “calm and cold in many regions, with very numerous frosts in the northern half and east of the country. » For temperatures, they will often be below 5°C in the east of France and towards the massifs.
It will be necessary especially ride with caution in the morning, because the weather forecast site predicts “scattered freezing drizzle on the south side Massif central”. And perhaps even at the level of Alpes in the afternoon.
Météo France notes that it will “sweet in the South West” and also, that the disturbance will spread “towards the north and east over the hours” with sometimes sustained rain in the west.
As for the sun, it will only appear over the Pyrenees and Corsica with contrasting temperatures in the afternoon.
