A man suspected of having fatally injured another man, found on January 1 in the center of Apt (), was arrested a few hours later at Saint-Exupéry station, Le Parisien learned from judicial source confirming the information from Progrès and Dauphiné Libéré. The arrested suspect is actor Dimitri Boetto.

The actor was arrested by the border police and the BAC on January 1, around 8 p.m., in the SNCF station which serves Lyon airport on a train from to -la-Vallée. . The police officers acted on letters rogatory as part of a judicial investigation opened for murder by the Avignon public prosecutor's office (Vaucluse).

According to Bleu and Vaucluse Matin, a violent fight broke out on Wednesday at lunchtime in front of a café in downtown Apt (Vaucluse). One of the two protagonists is left on the ground. A witness alerts the emergency services. When the firefighters arrived, the man lying on the ground, aged around fifty, was conscious. He has numerous marks of blows, including a frontal headbutt. Taken to hospital, he died in the afternoon.

The gendarmes from the Apt research brigade, responsible for the investigation, quickly identified the perpetrator of the attacks. They broadcast his report, knowing that he had taken the train and Lyon police officers were stationed at Saint-Exupéry station.

Dimitri Boetto, again according to the Rhône daily, allowed himself to be arrested in the wagon in which he was traveling. He was taken into custody. During the first hours, he admitted to a family disagreement with his ex-brother-in-law and claimed to be unaware that he had succumbed to his injuries.

A fan of combat sports, originally from Apt, based in the region, Dimitri Boetto recounted in May 2023, in an interview, having been in prison “for several years for acts of criminal association, detention of weapons”, for having “expressed himself with the codes of the young male full of testosterone”.

He notably starred in the Netflix series “So Far So Good” (2023), the films “The Last Queen” (2023) and “Burn-Out” (2018) as well as in the film “Alongside Her Pumps » (2023).

The autopsy of the victim, who lived in the Aptesian city, was to take place this Friday morning at the Nîmes forensic institute.
