The Moroccan Office for Industrial and Commercial Property reported that the number of companies created in Morocco reached 78,244 companies during the first ten months of 2024.
The office explained, in the general dashboard of the business creation barometer issued by it, that these companies are distributed between legal persons (56,292) and private persons (21,952).
The same source indicated that the sectoral distribution of modern contracting revealed the dominance of the commercial sector with a share of 34.73 percent, followed by the sectors of construction, public works and real estate activities (19.36 percent), miscellaneous services (18.47 percent), and transportation (8, 07 percent), industries (7.3 percent), hotels and restaurants (5.63 percent), information and communications technology (2.79 percent), and financial activities (1.99 percent percent), agriculture and fishing (1.67 percent).
According to the regions, the barometer revealed the dominance of the Casablanca-Settat region, with a total of 24,571 new companies at the end of last October, ahead of the regions of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (11,328), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (9,121), and Marrakesh-Safi (8,875). According to the legal form, limited liability companies with a single partner topped the list with a share of 64.9 percent, followed by limited liability companies with a single partner with a share of 34.5 percent, 0.3 percent of anonymous companies, and 0.1 percent of companies. Branches.
