The negotiation between the Condor airline and Panama is being carried out by the National Tourism Promotion Fund (Promtur) with incentives and agreements to promote the destination.
The general manager of Tocumen, José Antonio Ruiz, revealed to The Pressthe airline is expected to begin operations in June of this year with two weekly direct flights from Frankfurt to Panama.
According to the airline’s reservations page, the first non-stop flight is scheduled to leave Frankfurt on Wednesday, June 11 at 9:50 pm on a route that will last approximately 11 hours and 50 minutes and will depart from Panama City on June 12. June. The route will be operated with an Airbus A330-900NEO aircraft.

President José Raúl Mulino pointed out that with an agreement between the Tourism Authority of Panama and the Inter-American Development Bank, strategic projects will be carried out such as the revitalization of Colón, churches in the Old Town and the modernization of convention centers.
Likewise, he maintained that in collaboration with Copa Airlines the annual goal to attract tourists has been exceeded with almost 160,000 passengers who have taken advantage of the StopOver program that allows them to stopover in the country at no cost on the ticket.
