As of January 1, 2025, the Municipal Treasury of the District of Panama will apply a 10% discount on municipal taxes corresponding to economic activity, mobile and fixed advertising.
According to the official report, this benefit, available until January 31, 2025, seeks to reduce the tax burden of businesses in the Capital District.
To access the discount, taxpayers must be up to date with their municipal obligations, such as payments of fines, surcharges or vehicle taxes. In addition, it is necessary to present the Annual Affidavit of Gross Income, supported by an Authorized Public Accountant, as established by Law 280 of 2021.
The discounted settlement can be managed in person at the Hatillo Building, in the Compliance Department, or at the Taxpayer Service Centers. It is also available through the portal alcaldíadigital.gob.pa.
