More than twenty years after the end of bigdil on TF1, the show returns to RMC Story from January 2, 2025 and will be presented by Vincent Lagaf'. For the occasion, the host spoke to TV Magazine about this return and his state of health.
2025 is already revealing its share of new features on the small screen. From this Thursday, January 2, the new season of bigdil will be broadcast on RMC Story, and no longer on TF1 as was the case from 1998 to 2004. Vincent Lagaf' will also return to host this game show, the revival of which he announced last June. Originally, The Bigdil was a daily show and now becomes weekly with broadcast every Thursday at 9:10 p.m. Indeed, Vincent Lagaf' did not want to start this intense rhythm again for this new season and he has a very simple reason for this choice. “I’m no longer old enough”he confided in all honesty to TV Magazine .
“I am in a state, I insist on this a lot, lamentable. Physically, I have the potato, I have the peach, but I have 41 pieces of scrap metal in my body and half a lung less”said the 65-year-old presenter, not without a few touches of humor, before adding: “At the moment, I am not capable of it. So, let's explore prime time life down to the smallest corners, we'll see later. If the chain has the opportunity to buy me a heart-lung kit, I'll take it. But for now, I’m limiting myself to one prime time per week.” Despite his fragile health, Robin Rouïl's dad is happy to return to the set of his show. “I had the thrill”he said when he saw the sets again and revealed that he was even very moved: “I was firmly convinced that it was going to happen like this. And yet, I cried my race. I don’t know if there are many guys in my situation who had the opportunity and the courage to go back.” See you on January 2 on RMC Story to see the big return of bigdil and Vincent Lagaf'.
Vincent Lagaf' imposed his conditions for the return of bigdil
In an interview given to Tele-LeisureVincent Lagaf' explained that he had imposed his conditions for his return to The Bigdil. “The first was to have the same decor”he said. Central door, brick wall, staircase and large curtain hiding the gifts will therefore be back in this new season. Furthermore, he imposed the same team. Out of the question for him to return without Gilles Vautier who plays the character of Bill, the famous blue alien, and the Gafettes. These conditions were essential for the facilitator to resume the presentation of the game that he “love more than anything”.
