A serious accident in Tanneron mobilized significant resources to rescue two seriously injured people, who were transported to hospital.

A traffic accident mobilized significant emergency resources this morning on the RD37 in Tanneron, near the lake.
A violent collision between two vehicles
Around 11:20 a.m., Var firefighters responded to an accident involving two cars. When they arrived, they found that one of the vehicles had ended up on its side, while the other had rolled several times. The occupants of the vehicles, a 40-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, were seriously injured and trapped in the passenger compartments.
A major intervention to rescue victims
The rescue teams immediately extricated the victims, before providing them with first aid. The Grasse SMUR was dispatched as reinforcements to medicalize the injured, in addition to the firefighter nurse already on site. Once stabilized, the two injured were transported by medical ambulance to the Grasse Hospital Center.
A substantial system deployed
No less than 13 firefighters were mobilized for this operation. The resources involved included two ambulances, a light nursing vehicle, a fire protection and extrication vehicle, as well as a command vehicle. The National Gendarmerie was also present on the scene to secure the perimeter and regulate traffic.
