Despite the victory against FC Rouen in the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France (0-1), LOSC found itself in difficulty and was unable to find shelter. A disappointing performance for the Lille side, Thomas Meunier.
Meunier annoyed by the performance
“I might be exaggerating a little bit, but if it's 0-6 at the end, it's entirely plausible. Until the end, we scare each other. The second half is catastrophic. We can be satisfied with the qualification – the first half is quite good – but the second half, we cannot show that face. I find it quite unfortunate that we can put ourselves in such a difficult situation. In the end, they had one or two opportunities that could have led to an equalizer. The qualification is there, that's all we will remember.
Important this streak of 17 games without defeat? Of course, we had some fairly complicated periods with a lot of injuries and somewhat up-and-down results, but without defeat. And finally, in the end, there are only the results that we remember even if the performance is magnificent and it plays well. I always prefer when we have both: the good match and the three points. At the moment, with the group, the quality and the staff, we are building something quite magical. I am humbly satisfied with this first round. »
