Munich/fri – On the 15th matchday of the Bundesliga, RB Leipzig will face FC Bayern Munich in the top game. The game on Friday evening in the Allianz Arena will be officiated by experienced referee Daniel Siebert from Berlin. The 40-year-old referee has officiated in the Bundesliga since 2012 (175 games) and has been part of the FIFA referee pool since 2015 – where he has also been used at World and European Championships.

RB Leipzig has played 28 games so far under the leadership of Daniel Siebert. The balance sheet is mixed with ten wins, eight draws and ten defeats – because many of these games were against top teams, such as the 2023 DFB Cup final against Eintracht Frankfurt (2-0 for RB) or numerous matches against Munich and BVB.

Siebert last refereed a Leipzig Bundesliga game in September 2024 – in a 4-0 home win against FC Augsburg. The kicker rated the referee's performance with a grade of 2.0 and wrote: “Confident game management, was right with all important decisions, with a sense of proportion when it came to personal penalties.”

Daniel Siebert is supported on the sidelines by his assistants Jan Seidel (Hennigsdorf) and Rafael Foltyn (Wiesbaden). Daniel Schlager from Hügelsheim acts as the fourth official. Benjamin Cortus (Röthenbach ad Pegnitz), who acts as VAR boss, and his assistant Marco Achmüller (Bad Füssing) are responsible for video surveillance.
