Did the 2-0 cut you off?
“Up until the 2-0, Cagliari played a good game. We have to look for the goal when needed. Obviously we knew Juve’s qualities, but we believed in it. The idea was to play the game, trying to do something that doesn’t succeed in Cagliari for 20 years, but we haven’t succeeded.”
What perception did you have of Juventus?
“Juventus is a team that has an idea of play with a new project and needs to grow. If you take the match against City you understand Juventus’ strength. We wanted to give our all to create problems for them and in the first time we could have done it.”
Two very different matches between championship and cup?
“Up until 2-0 we played even better than in the championship match. I’m happy until 2-0. We have to improve in always staying in the game, but this is also linked to changes that are also necessary for our squad. We have to make develop players for the future because we need the whole squad.”
What do you take away from this evening?
“There is no positive or negative aspect. In the last three we have met Fiorentina, Atalanta and Juve. Even though the first two played very well and well at one time, today these matches are very expensive for us. We must continue knowing that the Cup It’s one event and the championship is another.
