Many Canal+ customers are being notified of a price increase of two euros per month on their offers.
Two euros more, without enrichment announced by the Vivendi subsidiary. Many Canal customers are currently receiving an email from the group announcing a €2 price increase from next January.
The offers concerned are quite varied, ranging from private sales at low prices (€19.99) to 4 screen offers sometimes reaching €79.99/month. The Canal group does not explain the reasons for this increase, simply stating that it allows “continue to provide you with the best experience” possible.

The reasons behind this increase can be multiple. We note, for example, that most of the offers concerned include a subscription to an SVOD platform and this type of offer had been spared during a previous price increase in 2022, following the adjustment of the VAT rate to which is subject Channel (change from 10 to 20%). The timing, however, seems strange: the Canal+ offers will in fact lose the Disney channels and content as well as the Press Pass, making it difficult for the subscribers concerned to understand what justifies the two additional euros on their bill.
