Jarry on TF1, Laurent Gerra on France 2, Kad Merad on France 3… There was something for everyone this Monday evening on television. And it was ultimately the new TV film with Laurent Gerra in the title role which topped the audiences. “Hors limits” features the imitator in the shoes of Andréas Meyer, a Swiss police captain who comes to investigate the death of a multinational executive that occurred in a ski resort in the Alps. He teams up with Constance Vivier (played by Clémentine Poidatz) from the Mountain Unit of the National Gendarmerie to shed light on this tragedy. 4,22 millions of viewers were kept in suspense by the duo of investigators, which corresponds to 21,6% of the public aged 4 and over. On the target of women responsible for purchasing aged under 50 (FRDA-50), the audience share amounts to 8,3%.
Laurent Gerra's last appearance in a new fiction, on October 2, was crowned with success. “An Ideal Father”, a TV film directed by Hélène Fillières also starring Eddy Mitchell, attracted 4.10 million viewers, for an audience share of 21.9%. 6.0% of the FRDA-50 were in front of the Two that evening.
Jarry leader on target on TF1
TF1 is second with the rebroadcast of the two-part TV film “À tessides”, inspired by the life of comedian Jarry. The latter also plays his own role alongside Didier Bourdon, who plays his father, Marie-Anne Chazel his mother and Matthias Van Khache and Eric Pucheu his brothers. The fiction which looks back on the end of life of the comedian's father and his relationships with the latter but also with other members of the family touched on average 2,61 millions of viewers. This is equivalent to 14,5% of the public aged 4 and over. On the FRDA-50 target, the audience share climbs to 22,4%. The first broadcast of the TV film, on October 11, 2021, attracted 4.26 million viewers (i.e. 21.0% and 27.5% of FRDA-50).
M6 broadcast a new issue of its program “Call for witnesses”. The new magazine presented by Julien Courbet, which attempted to speed up the investigations of three unsolved cases, captured the attention of 1,47 million of viewers. This corresponds to an audience share of 8,7%. On the commercial target of FRDA-50, the audience share climbs to 14,6%. The last new issue of “Call for Witnesses”, broadcast on March 4 and divided into two parts, brought together 2.07 million viewers in the first part of the evening (i.e. 10.5% of the public and 13.2% of the FRDA-50). 1.80 million stayed for the second year (12.8% of those aged four and over and 17.4% of FRDA-50).
France 3, for its part, offered cinema, and a new film. “A Triumph”, directed by Emmanuel Courcol (who is currently a hit in theaters with “En fanfare”), won over 1,45 million of movie buffs. This feature film which tells the true story of a struggling actor (Kad Merad) who decides to make ends meet by putting on a play with inmates, has won over 7,6% individuals present in front of their television and 5,7% FRDA-50s. Last Monday, the rebroadcast of Martin Provost's film “The Good Wife” with Juliette Binoche and Yolande Moreau attracted 1.90 million viewers (or 9.8% of the public and 3.3% of the FRDA-50).
TMC hits the target with “Harry Potter”
In the rest of the bonus offer, Arte follows with cinema and a western: “The Man of the Lost Valleys”. The film directed by George Stevens and released in 1953 appealed 919.000 movie buffs, either 4,8% of the public and 0,6% FRDA-50s. Note the very good performance on target of TMC, which broadcast the first part of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. 792.000 people followed the adventures of the sorcerer and his comrades, which corresponds to 5,2% of the public and 13,4% FRDA-50s!
