Bordeaux has already won €43,000
Since the start of this competition, the Girondins have pocketed €43,000. This is the amount that each amateur and Ligue 2 club participating in the 32nd finals will receive. This grant is paid by the FFF. Given the financial situation of the Navy and White, this is not negligible, on the contrary.
A nice check if successful
Furthermore, if, fortunately, Bruno Irlès' team eliminates Rennes, a Ligue 1 club which plays 4 divisions above the Girondins, the amount is almost doubled with an additional €40,000 falling into the pockets of the FCGB. This brings the total amount of winnings to €83,000 since the start of the competition.
Thus, an amateur club which makes an epic can pocket €218,000 if it reaches the quarter-finals, €388,000 for the semi-finals, and €838,000 if it is a finalist. The winner of the competition receives €1,238,000 if it is an amateur or in Ligue 2, and €1,220,000 if it is a Ligue 1 club.
This distribution of amounts is set by the FFF. This does not take into account ticket revenue.
Bordeaux expects 20,000 people this Sunday for this meeting.
