Good news for the more than two million French people who are entitled to it. The Christmas bonus will be paid into the bank accounts of eligible people from this Tuesday, December 17. Depending on the banks, “there may be up to eight working days before the payment is displayed on your bank account”, warns the Family Allowance Fund (CAF), which adds that the payment of the aid exceptional for beneficiaries registered since December 2024 will only take place from January 2025.
This exceptional aid is aimed at people who benefit in November or December 2024 from active solidarity income (RSA), the specific solidarity allowance (ASS) or the retirement equivalent allowance (AER).
The CAF or the Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA), for the agricultural regime, are responsible for paying RSA beneficiaries. The amount varies depending on the family situation and the number of dependent children in the household. A single person without children will receive 152.45 euros, a couple with four children will receive 442.11 euros. Note that in Mayotte, the amounts paid are not the same.
For ASS or AER beneficiaries, the amount of the Christmas bonus is fixed. France Travail (formerly Pôle emploi) will pay 152.45 euros to beneficiaries in 2024, regardless of their situation. In Mayotte, the fixed amount is 76.23 euros in 2024, specifies the service-public site.
The Christmas bonus, tax-free, is paid automatically, without any action to be taken. Regardless of the organization originating the payment, it is necessary to check that personal information (address, family situation, bank account) is up to date in your personal space to receive the Christmas bonus on time.
