He left behind the royal formalities and protocols he was used to and began a whole new life away from Britain. Although the royal has quickly adapted to life in California, there are some habits that are hard to break – especially around Christmas time.

Despite her dissatisfaction with the royal family and the challenges of the spotlight, one tradition has survived the move to California.
